1. Tell us about
yourself.
I’m a married mother
of three. My kids are all under 5, so I
can assure you that they are a handful.
I’ve been with my paramedic husband now for ten years, and we’ve
produced three offspring that are nothing like us. I live in the greatest state in the world,
Texas.
2. What three things
about you that might surprise your readers?
A) I just started reading
around five years ago after I had my son.
I’m an introvert. I
seriously cannot stand shopping for clothes.
You better have something cute in the window, because if you don’t, I’m
not going into your store.
B) I’m nearly blind in
one eye. However, my other eye
compensates for it, so as long as both eyes are open, I’m fine!
C) Is there a genre(s)
that you think “I might like to write one of those.”?
Historical. I’d
love to write a book about Highlanders. They’re my vice.
3. Tell us about
Halligan To My Axe.
Halligan To My Axe
came about when I was writing Lights To My Siren. I literally had to force myself to finish
LTMS because I had Kettle’s book all line out in my head.
Kettle is a fireman
for the Benton Fire Department. He’s responding to a fire one night when he
meets a woman, Adeline is a high school
chemistry teacher. She lives in the same
apartment complex as Kettle, although she doesn’t know it. She’s’ pretty boring, or at least thinks she
is.
Kettle’s pretty
sketchy about relationships. He tried once and got really burned, so it’s tough
for him to put himself out there again.
However, he takes a leap of faith, and he doesn’t regret it one tiny
bit.
Of course, there are a
few people who try their hardest to split the two apart, and they nearly
succeed.
5. What do you think
readers will like/love about Kettle?
Kettle’s pretty quirky.
He’s also uber protective of Adeline.
So I would say that’s one of the main qualities of an alpha male!
